Overview
This skill set covers the skill requirements for case management activities and work throughout the health and community services sector.
The Case Management Skill Set will enable students to develop their skills to support participants within the Community Services Sector. You will develop your skills around Case Management activities with respect to the legislation. You’ll develop an understanding of how to assess the needs of a diverse group of people, coordinate their case requirements and advocate for their needs.

This skill set has been endorsed by industry as suitable for individuals who:
- hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in related field; or
- have skills equivalent to the qualification requirement validated through a recognition of prior learning process
Units of competency:
- CHCCSM004 Coordinate complex case requirements
- CHCCSM005 Develop, facilitate and review all aspects of case management
- CHCCCS004 Assess co-existing needs
- CHCCSM006 Provide case management supervision

Qualifications will be completed via a combination of self-paced, study group or classroom session(s). The duration will vary dependant on the delivery style and training plan negotiated for each student.Where relevant, assessment of competency may involve recognition of prior learning or credit transfer if prior skills or certification is held.
Fees for the program vary dependant on whether the individual holds a concession card, whether there are credit transfers available.
Eligible students may be able to access funding from the QLD Government under Higher Level Skills funding. Co-contribution fees for the program vary dependant on whether the individual holds a concession card, whether there are credit transfers available.
