The Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care is an essential part of a Career in the Child Care sector. This enables you to move from worker to Fulltime roles as a Group Leader, Supervisor and Centre Director.
Anyone planning a long-term career in Child Care, should undertake this qualification which is the pathway to take on more involved roles with greater likelihood of permanent positions and ability to influence and set direction, and the design of positive educational activities in a range of Child Care settings.

Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who: hold a CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
As part of your course, you will need to complete 280 hours of vocational placement.
As part of your course you will need to complete 240 hours of vocational placement. This gives you the opportunity to put the theory into practice, and experience what a career in Child Care actually looks like. During Vocational Placement we ensure you are supported and taught by experienced team members who work with us to ensure you succeed.
Once you have received your Blue Card you can being your Vocational Placement while you are undertaking your theory components.
We arrange placement for you! We factor in your location, transport issues, availability and MATCH you with an employer who will Host you for your Placement. This is your chance to SHINE, show them how professional you are and your Host will help you kick start your career.
The course units are selected with input from employers to ensure you cover the material which is most relevant for employment. The Certificate III course includes 15 units of which 12 are core units. The 3 elective units are selected from the list below, depending on which units best fit your client base and organisation.

Qualifications can be completed via a combination of self-paced, study group or classroom. The duration will vary dependant on the delivery style and training plan negotiated for each student.
Where relevant assessment of competency may involve recognition of prior learning or credit transfer if prior skills or certification is held.
