CHC43115 – Certificate IV in Disability

Overview

This course is suitable for those who have some experience working in disability or a related field. If you are keen to take the next step in your career in the disability sector, this course will build on what you already know and prepare you to work in roles where you manage others. There is an extraordinary demand for skilled Disability Workers at the moment and this qualifications will give you advanced skills to potentially move into a supervisory role.

Horizon2 is currently delivers this qualification via training and RPL to individuals who are working with Disability clients.  In order to enrol, candidates will need to employed, or in a voluntary carer / support role working with individuals with a Disability.  For more information about this please contact our team to discuss your situation.

The following units have been chosen with input from employers to ensure you cover the material which is most relevant for employment. The Certificate IV course includes 14 units of which 11 are core units in addition to 3 elective units.  We have listed 4 electives below, of which 3 must be chosen.

Qualifications can be completed via a combination of self-paced, study group and RPL. The duration will vary dependent on the delivery style and training plan negotiated for each student.

Where relevant assessment of competency may involve recognition of prior learning or credit transfer if prior skills or certification is held.
