CHC32015 – Certificate III in Community Services

Overview

This qualification is designed for those who are motivated to work in a wide range of entry level

community services roles, supporting individuals through the provision of person-centred services. This qualification can be your starting point for a role as a Residential Support, Neighbourhood Centre, Accommodation Support or Out of Home Care Support Workers.

While there are no requirements for entry into the Certificate III in Community Services, we recommend that you apply for the QLD Blue Card (working with Children Check) and a Federal Police Check, as most employers will require these.  Our team can guide you with this process.

The course units have been chosen with input from employers to ensure you cover the material which is most relevant for employment. The Certificate III course includes 12 units of which 5 are core units. The remaining 7 are selected to ensure you get a positive response from potential employers.

Qualifications can be completed via a combination of self-paced and study group. The duration will vary dependent on the delivery style and training plan negotiated for each student.

Where relevant assessment of competency may involve recognition of prior learning or credit transfer if prior skills or certification is held.
